Games Like Disney Solitaire: 6 Story-Driven TriPeaks Alternatives
Six TriPeaks card games for players who like Disney Solitaire, compared on theme and story, collection meta, offline play and price so you can match a pick to whatever you want changed.
If you play Disney Solitaire and want something similar, the right pick depends on which part you would miss. Solitaire Story: Ava's Manor is the closest match for story โ a mystery-romance that unfolds room by room as you renovate a manor. Theme Solitaire keeps a storybook cast, letting you build a tower floor by floor with Snow White, Pinocchio and Peter Pan themes. Solitaire Castle Royal is ours: it swaps licensed characters for a castle-restoration story of its own and plays offline. Solitaire Grand Harvest comes from a sibling Playtika studio and runs the same idea on a farm. Tiki Solitaire TriPeaks has the deepest club layer, and Fairway Solitaire has hand-built levels and more personality per board than anything else here. One thing to say plainly at the top: none of these have Disney characters, and none of them can.
What Disney Solitaire gets right
Disney Solitaire is made by SuperPlay, the studio behind Dice Dreams and Domino Dreams, which Playtika acquired in November 2024. It launched worldwide on April 17, 2025 in collaboration with Disney Games. The card layer is TriPeaks: draw from a stock pile, clear any board card one rank above or below your current card, and chain long runs for bonuses. That part is not unusual. What is unusual is everything wrapped around it โ the announcement describes more than 75 Disney and Pixar characters and storylines spanning The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, Moana, Toy Story, Coco, Ratatouille and Up.
The meta-game is a collection rather than a farm or a house. SuperPlay describes postcards that each recreate an iconic scene from the worlds of Disney and Pixar, and the game has since added collectible sticker albums running in limited windows alongside seasonal events. Production values are the other half of the appeal: character animations and a level of polish most free solitaire apps do not attempt.
Two things send players looking for alternatives. The first is the coin stake โ levels are entered at a coin cost, and reviewers who have played deep describe that cost climbing as you progress, so a cold run can stall you until you wait or buy. The second is connectivity: the App Store listing states that an internet connection may be required to play and to access social features. Players commonly report core rounds working without a signal, but the developer does not commit to offline play in writing, so we have not treated it as confirmed. Neither point makes it a bad game โ they just explain what an alternative would need to fix.
How we chose these games
We publish one of these games, so the bar every pick had to clear is stated up front rather than left implied.
- Genuinely TriPeaks (or close). One-rank-up-or-down clearing off a stock pile. Klondike and spider apps were cut because the feel is different.
- A theme with something behind it. Disney Solitaire players are used to characters, scenes and a reason to keep going, so plain board-shuffling apps did not make the list.
- A collection or building layer. Every pick has something that fills in over time โ an album, a manor, a tower, a castle, a farm โ because that is the loop Disney Solitaire trains you on.
- Enough scale to last. Roughly a thousand levels minimum, or hand-built courses substantial enough to compensate.
- Monetization we can describe honestly. We noted whether the pressure is a per-round stake, a lives timer, a subscription, ad frequency or a one-time unlock.
- Offline behavior checked against the store listing. Where a developer does not state it plainly, we say so instead of guessing. Offline support changes between updates.

The six alternatives
Solitaire Story: Ava's Manor โ closest if you loved having a story to follow
Uken built this around narrative in a way almost nothing else in the category does. Ava, a mystery novelist with writer's block, inherits Blackwood Manor from a great uncle who disappeared, and every TriPeaks level you clear pushes the story forward: a room gets restored, a clue surfaces, a romance subplot advances. If the part of Disney Solitaire you look forward to is the next scene rather than the next board, this is the nearest replacement, and its listing states that solitaire levels can be played offline.
The honest limitation is the energy layer. Players describe a lives system, so a bad run can leave you waiting rather than playing, and the story is deliberately doled out over weeks. The art also aims at cozy-realistic interiors, so if what you love is animated characters bursting onto the screen when you clear a peak, this will feel quieter.
Theme Solitaire โ closest if you loved the fairy-tale cast
Buff Studio's Theme Solitaire is the only pick here that leans on recognizable storybook characters, and it does it the only way anyone legally can: through public-domain fairy tales. Snow White, Pinocchio, Peter Pan and Wonderland appear as themes you pick from as you unlock each new floor of a tower, decorating rooms with props and characters. Choosing a themed floor and filling it is the closest thing on this list to unlocking a Disney scene and completing its postcard.
Set expectations on scale and polish, though. This is a smaller studio, and it shows next to a Disney-licensed production: the art is charming rather than lavish, and the developer does not clearly document offline support. Level entry costs also rise as you progress, which is the same pressure you may be trying to leave.
Solitaire Castle Royal โ closest if you loved the build-up but want it to work offline
This is our game, so weigh it accordingly. Castle Royal keeps the TriPeaks core and puts an original story around it: you restore and decorate a castle alongside King Archibald and Sir Wagsworth the corgi, and fill out a stamp collection as you go, which is the same collect-and-complete itch the postcards scratch. There are 13,000-plus levels, standard levels are untimed, and it plays offline with progress stored on the device and cloud-synced when you reconnect โ the one clear thing it offers over Disney Solitaire, whose listing does not commit to offline play. The No Ads Lifetime Pack is a one-time buy rather than a subscription. You can try TriPeaks free in your browser first, or go straight to the Solitaire Castle Royal mobile game on the App Store or Google Play.
Where it falls short: our characters are ours, not Disney's, and no amount of castle charm competes with hearing a familiar theme play when a scene unlocks โ if that is the draw, we lose that comparison outright. The live events โ Wild Rush, Grand Ball, Skydash, World Tour Puzzles โ also run in limited-time windows and need a connection, so a long offline stretch means missing them, and the free version serves ads until you buy the removal pack.
Solitaire Grand Harvest โ closest if you want the same house style on a farm
There is a family resemblance here for a reason: Grand Harvest is made by Supertreat, another Playtika studio, so it shares a design lineage with Disney Solitaire. The card play is the same TriPeaks, and the meta is a farm you grow and personalize, with crops ready roughly every hour to pull you back. Its App Store listing describes offline play while noting that certain features and social functionality may need a connection, which is a slightly firmer commitment than Disney Solitaire makes.
The limitation is the one you may already know. Coins are the stake rather than the score, and the entry cost rises with progress, so a losing streak stalls you until you wait, watch ads or buy a pack. If the coin pressure is exactly what pushed you to look elsewhere, this is a lateral move rather than a fix, and our separate guide to games like Solitaire Grand Harvest covers the rest of that field.
Tiki Solitaire TriPeaks โ closest if you want people to play alongside
GSN Games, now part of Scopely, has run Tiki Solitaire TriPeaks for years, and its 3,000-plus levels come with a club system that gives it a real community layer. Disney Solitaire has social features, but a club chasing a shared goal is a different thing, and this is the strongest option here for that.
Two caveats. There is no decorating or building meta to speak of, so the collection instinct Disney Solitaire cultivates goes largely unfed. And coin scarcity dominates its negative reviews: players describe rewarded ads capping out and progress stalling. If the per-round stake is your complaint, this does not fix it.
Fairway Solitaire โ closest if you want craft over spectacle
Big Fish took golf solitaire โ the same one-rank-up-or-down clearing that powers TriPeaks โ and built more than 350 hand-designed holes around it, with announcers, mini games and a gopher with a genuine grudge. Almost everything else here generates or reuses boards at scale; Fairway crafts them one at a time, and on level design it plainly beats Castle Royal and most of the field.
It is also the biggest tonal jump here. Nothing fills in behind your progress โ no castle, manor, tower or farm โ so if the pleasure is watching a world assemble itself, this misses it entirely. It has also moved between premium and free-to-play versions across platforms and years, so check what your store offers today rather than trusting an older review.
If the Disney part is the point, nothing here replaces it
Worth being blunt rather than talking around it. Disney Solitaire is the only TriPeaks game with licensed Disney and Pixar characters, and that is not a gap a competitor can close โ it is a licensing deal, not a feature. Every alternative above gives you the card game plus a theme of its own. If the specific pleasure is seeing characters you grew up with, the honest advice is to keep Disney Solitaire installed and add a second game for the times it is not what you want.
